Change in the amount of meal allowances and the average price of fuel for the purposes of travel expense reimbursement

On 15 August 2022, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs issued Decree no. 237/2022 on a change in basic reimbursement for the use of road motor vehicles and for meal allowances and in the average price of fuel for the purposes of travel expense reimbursement.

Effective 20 August 2022, the Decree changes the amount of meal allowances for domestic business trips:

  • 120 to 142 CZK for business trips lasting 5 to 12 hours;
  • 181 to 219 CZK for business trips lasting more than 12 hours but no more than 18 hours;
  • 284 to 340 CZK for business trips lasting more than 18 hours.

The Decree also increases the average price of 98-octane fuel from 40.50 CZK to 51.40 CZK/liter.
